Pavane

Brandon Blume Very nice contemplative/somber piece from Lee Jackson. It's got a deceptively repetitive foundation but that's a clear choice here and it works. The dreamy instruments on top change as it evolves and the toe-tap-inducing rhythmic motif and bass line running underneath keeps the pacing and energy up. Overall the sound design and mix really mesh well and makes it feel other-worldly and strange yet catchy. Love it.

about

Pavane is a melancholy, some would say spooky, electronic single, composed using only the Mercury-6 virtual synth by Cherry Audio (cherryaudio.com/products/mercury-6). Frankly, it's amazing what this synth can do. I recommend it highly!
