Fish Waltz (feat. Jake "The Voice" Parr)

from Calibrations by Lee Jackson

about

"Fish Waltz" is a throwback to my earlier goofy composition, "Fish Polka" from the Apogee game Rise of the Triad. It's also a lesson in being careful with what you ask for. When I was working on Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour, a developer needed music for a French level. Unfortunately, he couldn't come up with much in the way of guidance for me to follow. "Give me bistro music" was about as much as I got, so I took the idea and ran with it, much to the level designer's chagrin. The bistro music obviously never made it into the game, but it is presented here, complete with a tip of the hat to the "stupid little fish" that the great Tom Hall drew which started the entire thing.
